After a very calm night we woke this morning to another pleasant sunny day. We played our usual game of table tennis, went to a talk on The Borgias and once again took part in the progressive daily quiz.
One of the really nice aspects of the Azura is the variety of choice for dining, in addition to the set dining rooms and buffet there are four specialist dining options. As tonight's dress code was smart casual we thought that this would be a good opportunity to try out the Italian restaurant, Verona. This is located at the back of the buffet with a surcharge added to a number of the menu items. Unfortunately our idea must have been shared by many others as we were turned away with wait times in excess of an hour.
We therefore decided to give the Glass House a try. This is basically a wine bar with a large selection of wines that you can buy by the glass and they also serve food. On the menu are a series of starter dishes or small plates which cost £5.95 for a selection of three. We all decided to give this a go, but first a photo opportunity.
Here Win looks as if she has lost an olive down her front with Jim looking suitably concerned. It was of course a false alarm and a fresh photo was taken.
Within a short space of time the table was filled with an assortment of small plates and we all began to tuck in.
A great meal in a really nice venue. After a coffee we went to see a Tom Jones tribute act and apart from the fact he neither looked like or sounded like Tom Jones, he was quite good.
Tomorrow we arrive at Cadiz and are booked to eat at Sindhu, the specialist Indian restaurant. Tomorrow's posting may be late!!!
