Day 2 - Across the North Sea.

The threatened thunder storms did not make an appearance overnight and we awoke to the sound of the ship’s foghorn. Checking on the ship's navigational channel our position appeared to be due east of Cromer. We have many times looked out from Cromer at the passing ships but never noticed any cruise ships but it would be too foggy today to see anything.

Despite losing an hours sleep last night as we changed our clocks to Norwegian time it was surprisingly very busy in the buffet when we went for breakfast. In fact the ship was very busy everywhere inside but this made it quite easy to find a spare sunbed!!

Most people stayed indoors avoiding the chilly damp conditions outside. Sylvia made her way to the first sale of the journey purchasing several t-shirts and a couple of handbags.

Despite the conditions some of us brave souls persevered with the shorts, even taking a few moments to relax on the balcony.

They had to come off later, as it was the first formal night of the cruise which meant changing into our posh dresses and suits.

After a lovely meal on a table with people from Australia, Scotland and Lancashire we returned to the cabin to see that the sky had brightened up. Perhaps this is a good sign for our first port of call tomorrow - Stavanger.
