The sea overnight was relatively calm and coupled with the very comfortable bed contributed to a sound sleep. The sky this morning was a little overcast but it wasn’t cold, so after breakfast and our mandatory entry into the progressive quiz ( a very credible 17/20 scored), we had a good explore of the ship. By this time the sun had made an appearance and the deck pools were beginning to fill up with children.
For those who wanted a quieter life there is a option for adults only which seemed less busy.
Food, as on all cruise ships, feature heavily on Brittania and in addition to all the usual outlets there are several speciality outlets. For main meals you have the choice of either set time dining or the freedom option, where you choose the venue and time to eat. Of course the buffet is open all day for breakfast, lunch, dinner, supper or snacks through the night. For a special meal you can choose from the Epicurian,(classic French), Sindu (Indian) or the Glass House , an up market wine bar experience.
With all these eating option available you would have thought that pre-dinner hors d’ouvres wouldn’t be necessary but we get them every night. Tonight it was chocolate strawberries.
Luckily we had had some well dressed visitors who were only too pleased to help us eat them...
…with even Oliver enjoying the (chocolate) fruit.
Tomorrow another sea day and hopefully a little more sunshine.
