Sea Day Number Two.

Although we have never previously sailed on the Star Princess, finding our way around her has presented few problems. This is because the basic design of the ship is the same as several others we have sailed on, such as P&O’s Azura and Caribbean and Crown Princesses. The main variation on this ship is the provision of a covered pool inside a solarium, something the other ships mentioned do not have.

Although it was sunny first thing this morning there was still a slight swell on the ocean and a nip in the air, so Oliver and Joseph decided to try out the indoor pool.

They reported that although cold at first it was quite pleasant when you got used to it. I took their word for that.

Poppy and Aaron spent the morning in their respective kid’s clubs and reappeared at lunch time with Poppy sporting a self designed sun hat and bag.

The children, especially Poppy, love the clubs and have made some nice new friends.
The weather improved as the day progressed and by the afternoon was very pleasant. Sylvia and I spent much of the afternoon exploring various parts of the ship including the Club Lawn (where you can play putting & croquet), the sports court (where Sylvia shot a few hoops) and The Sanctuary. This is an adult’s only space where you can get peace and quiet away from children . We chose this for the first selfie of the cruise.

Tomorrow we dock in San Pedro for Los Angeles and have to clear US Immigration prior to leaving the ship. Sylvia is trying to make sure her fingerprints are as clear as can be!!!
