At sea - On the Way to Gibraltar.

The sun rose early to herald a beautiful day at sea.

As we went to breakfast just before nine, the blue and white towels had started to appear on the sun loungers, reserving the places for the sun worshippers. We went to the early morning trivia and added a couple more torches to our collection.

During the morning we sailed past the Ballearic Islands passing very close to Majorca.

Sylvia decided to take advantage of the on-board hairdressing facility and returned with a very smart cut together with highlights.

One of the major differences between this cruise and the one we took in May is the quality of entertainment, Princess winning hands down over Celebrity. Tonight for example there was a performance in the theatre by Roger Wright a West End performer who played the adult Simba for three years. He belted out some great soul classics together with one or two show tunes.

Following the show the crowds flocked to the lounge for a 70s music trivia quiz.....

....which was competed by the cruise director Kelvin, who I refer to as our Camp Host.

After the quiz the atrium filled for a double bill of firstly a BMX stunt rider......

....and then the singers and dancers performing a Beatles medley.

Then back into the lounge bar for a Seventies party night with one of the live bands.

An excellent mix of entertainment for everyone.

Tomorrow there is a full day in Gibraltar followed by the Great British Sailaway.
