What a difference a day makes.......

After the stormy weather last night it was quite a surprise to wake up to a beautiful sun-rise.

Although it was still quite breezy we ate breakfast on the deck before playing our first game of table tennis this trip. The wind did affect the match a little but probably didn't alter the result.

The sun came out sufficiently later to enjoy a spot of laying in the sun and consumption of the FREE ice cream.

There was plenty going on aboard the ship today, with lectures on the Falkland War (not my cup of tea but we'll attended), trivia quizzes, films, and the ever present art auction. I've yet to see anyone who has bought one of these so-called works of art most of which are just poor copies but it must make money for the cruise line or they wouldn't continue.

I haven't played the casino on board yet which as you can see is a lot larger than those found on the British ships. I'll certainly have a little wager before I leave.

We played a couple of quizzes today, just the two of us, but we're well beaten by much larger teams and a very old couple. They could have been The Immigrants in disguise!!

Tonight's blog (if it works) has been brought to you courtesy go my I-pad and the Blogsy app as I still can't get Live Writer to work.

An announcement has just come over the tannoy for crew to report to deck 15 for a "code alpha tango". It seems that someone has had too much to drink and gone a bit silly. I suspect his cruise will end at Barcelona.
