The whole ship seemed a little sleepy this morning. Whether the cause was the lost hour last night or the effect of five days of cruise food I’m not sure, but it was evident as we arrived at the TV quiz where only two other teams had assembled. Thankfully a few others arrived to enable the quiz to commence. Following the same format as yesterday a series of photos were shown identifying TV programmes, today’s subject “Children’s TV”. With our combined knowledge of old and new programmes most of the questions were answered with ease, failing only to identify “Chorlton and the Wheelies”. The prize being once again a pen and key-ring set, if it carries on at this rate we won’t need to look for Christmas presents!!!
Here’s a question to test your knowledge [give everyone else a chance Naomi!!].
What was the name of Danger mouse's assistant and who provided the voice of the character ?
Answers as usual tomorrow.
After a short time taking in the sun…
followed by a game of table tennis…..
and a leisurely lunch, the children retired to their room to take it easy. Poppy choosing to continue her scrapbook….
…while Joseph just chilled.
Sylvia has been wanting to visit the gym ever since we boarded the ship to try out the running machines. So, with the children off to the Kid’s Club, this afternoon seemed a good opportunity for us all to have a go. After a few minutes tuition from Victoria and Oliver , we both ran a mile..or rather walked a mile.
Mind you I now realise why Oliver is so keen to visit the gym every afternoon, as one of the long-legged dancers was busily doing stretches on the floor just behind the machines. And apparently she’s there every afternoon!!
The show tonight was called “New York Rhythms” a mix of songs from The Four Seasons, Stevie Wonder, Barry Manilow and Billy Joel. Once again we all attended.
The children however must have had a busy day because they both “did an Uncle Colin”, falling asleep at the start only waking to join in the applause at the end. Altogether another great day, tomorrow Corfu.
